Deepak and Srishti Gising Receive Prestigious NOC Awards on Olympic Day

Athletics official Deepak and Para Taekwondo practitioner Srishti Gising have won the NOC awards. During the award ceremony organised by the Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) on Olympic Day (June 23) Thursday, Deepak received an award for male athletes and Srishti received an award for female athletes. Para Taekwondo athletes Kaviraj Negi and Renu Devi Konda from tennis received the outstanding coach award. Nepal Boxing received the Best Federation Award. Media persons also received awards. Four journalists were also honoured with NOC awards. Silapatra Saroj Tamang received the Best Multi‑Media Award, Prajit Shakya received the Best Print Media Award, Prjwal Shakya received the Best Video Media Award, and Sunita Dangol received the Best Photo Journalist Award. The judging panel, led by Olympian Raghu Raj Van, announced the award winners. The awards were presented by NOC President Life Ram Shrestha, National Sports Council (Raikes) Member Secretary Tanklal Gising, former President and MP Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan, NOC Secretary General Nilen Raj Shrestha, Vice President and CEO Chaturanan Rajvaidya, and other officials and members.
